Keeps a pretty fast pace. Ending is a bit too neat, but not bad overall.
Intriguing and mundane.
ok – sort of like Huck Finn meets Hannibal Lecter.
A bleak, twisted and interesting novel.
Breakneck pace – keeps your attention.
Really well written. Seems to encapsulate the entire mess.
A Murder in Wartime: The Untold Spy Story That Changed the Course of the Vietnam War
Pretty good 87th story.
Nocturne: A Novel of the 87th Precinct (87th Precinct Mysteries)

Enjoyed this book – good pace and a decent story.
Written pre-Hansen. Some interesting parts, others a bit dull.
Not sure how much interest this would be for non-deadheads. Last couple chapters have the most punch and are quite melancholy. I saw around 40 shows between 1984 and 1990. Jerry’s wave to the crowd on the first show back in 12/86 with hundreds of people around me crying and the roar during ‘Touch of Grey’ stand in stark contrast to the disintegration of the scene from 90 onward.
Ok for non-87th, but a bit convoluted and weak ending.
A surprisingly good read. Bus lingo is a little over the top, but not out of place.
Good for a quick read.
Have read this a couple times. The back story with the Mormons just doesn’t hold much interest.
Hard to believe it is almost 30 years old – a bit hard to follow in places, but worth the effort.
Spenser and the gang head west.
Some interesting bits, but a bit dull overall.
