Author states up front that it is a empathetic, revisionist look at Joe Kennedy as US ambassador to UK. Not sure how these things get published.

This series has really faded. Title should be the ranking on a scale of 1-10.
Title should be advice of what to do after you finish the book. Embarrassing ending for an author of this caliber.
Tries to cover it all, which makes the narrative thin in places. First person accounts are great, along with the maps.
Ending is a bit weak, but a good read overall.
Moves along. Fades at the end.
Sanford has another winner in Virgil Flowers.
Covers all the bases. Drags a bit after the fight for Henderson Field.
Do the thing and you shall have the power.
Chuck Hogan adds an edge to this one. Pretty good.
Success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.
