A somewhat reliable series that may be running out of gas.

A flawed protagonist from an anything but author.

One active imagination.

Some of the backstory seems unnecessary, but author doesn’t go off a cliff.

Pulled this off the library shelf at random. Might go back for a second helping.

Always a treat to find a book you haven’t read by an author you really like.

Six Years

If author was trying to break out from a slump with the Joe Pickett series, he failed badly. A cross between “silence of the lambs” and “pulp fiction” without any of the good parts.

Pretty well done, even though it is outside my preferred genre.
